Treatment has a better chance to work when matched to similar DNA

The stem cells from cord blood have a better chance to work when they are matched to similar DNA and related ethnic characteristics.

Did you know that the majority of people who donate their cord blood are Caucasians?  This means that the majority of available treatments are more likely available for Caucasians.

If you are African American, Hispanic or some other minority, please make a decision to donate your baby’s cord blood and cord blood tissue.  It is imperative that minority communities have equal opportunity to experience the regenerative power of stem cell therapy.

African Americans, Hispanics and other ethnicities are underrepresented and the likelihood of a match for treatment is less for these minority groups.  This is not right.

If you are a minority, please call us at 1-800-609-7371 to discuss the possibilities of donating your cord blood and keeping it from being discarded in the trash as medical waste.
